I'm so happy to finally share a few photos from Heather & Spencer's engagement session because gosh, I just really like them. (: Their friends describe them as the best couple to third wheel with which one, is quite a high compliment if you ask me, and two, makes me even more excited about capturing their wedding this June!
Sequoyah Hills was the perfect location for their shoot because it was the same spot where Spencer surprised Heather & asked her to be his bride! She had honestly felt a little bummed that day because she was convinced that he was going to propose the night before - but he more than made up for it with arranging his friend to secretly be taking photos of the proposal and planning a surprise party for after they left the park!
These two are so down to earth, kind, and easy to be with. Heather & Spencer, I can't wait until June 16th!!!
It was so very sweet getting to shoot a wedding back at the very place Harrison and I got married two and a half years earlier! But this time, it was a beautiful fall wedding and the camp was covered in brightly colored leaves and a cool fog that lifted as the day warmed up and the guests arrived. Camp Ridgecrest for Boys (& Camp Crestridge for Girls, DUH) hold such a special place in both of our hearts and I loved getting to walk the camp property as I celebrated and photographed Karah & Andrew's special day!
The day really couldn't have gone more smoothly. Karah & Andrew seemed relaxed and so blissfully happy from the morning on until they ran to their car surrounded by friends & family holding sparklers at the end of the night! Watching them pray together, hand in hand, as they made such a special covenant with one another in that wide open field surrounded by trees beneath the blue sky was truly serene. A breath of fresh air and a moment I know they'll cherish forever!
Karah & Andrew, thank you for letting me a part of your day. You two are so fun together and I'm excited to follow all of your future adventures together in those Blue Ridge Mountains as husband and wife!

After a coast to coast long distance engagement, the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder," has grown even more true between these two! Family traveled from all over the country to celebrate them and their day felt like a sigh of relief because of what it means for their future together. Blythe & Preston, I am so happy for you two as you begin this new journey! I know that whether together, or apart, you two are stronger as one and the love you share is so sweet! Thank you for letting me a part of your day!
