Tsali Notch Vineyard Wedding // Preston & Blythe

After a coast to coast long distance engagement, the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder," has grown even more true between these two! Family traveled from all over the country to celebrate them and their day felt like a sigh of relief because of what it means for their future together. Blythe & Preston, I am so happy for you two as you begin this new journey! I know that whether together, or apart, you two are stronger as one and the love you share is so sweet! Thank you for letting me a part of your day!

XOXO, Suzy

Knoxville Botanical Garden Senior Session // Maddie Hull

Maddie's senior session at the Knoxville Botanical Garden was effortlessly beautiful! My immediate impression of her was confidence & grace. She seems like the type of person who is at rest with who she is and offers other people the chance to be the same. Maddie, I can't wait to see where this next journey in life takes you beyond senior year! With your gracious spirit and beautiful smile, I can only imagine wonderful things!

Meads Quarry Engagement // Preston & Blythe

These two have such a sweet story, one I'll get to share more of when they get hitched October 7th! Eek! They've had a coast to coast long distance engagement and the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" is so true between these two! Not only do they share a love for the Red Sox (as you'll see below) but they share such a level of comfort together that makes it easy to be around them, to sit back and watch them make each other laugh. (: Preston & Blythe, I can't wait for your special day at Tsali Notch this fall and I'm so happy you two will be reunited once again!

XOXO, Suzy

Cherokee Country Club Wedding // George & Alicia

Wow. What a day May 13th was. I don't even know where to begin, but one thing I must say is these people know how to CELEBRATE. It's hard to top a reception like this when there were 4 plus hours of non-stop dancing - young, old, guys, and girls. I actually got scolded a few times for taking pictures instead of dancing. (; Hip scarves, throwing the bride and groom into the air on chairs, an amazing Arabic band, napkins waving in the air. I'm still waiting to be adopted into these amazing Palestinian families, but they made me feel like family the whole time so I feel like I'm already halfway there. I love the way they love and celebrate each other so fiercely. It's no question that the bond their families share is strong and wildly important.

I started with the reception, but the ceremony was beautiful and the reverence was something that just isn't as common any more. I captured all of the sweet moments from the balcony with no flash as requested and I think there is something so sweet about that. Marriage is truly about God bringing two people together as one, it's not about the best lighting or angles or perfectly curated moments. (Although those aren't bad things!) But it was a sweet and humble reminder.

I'm so thankful to have been a part of Alicia & George's special day. Every detail fell into place perfectly and I'm excited to share just a few favorites so you can relive this day if you were there or pretend you were there dancing & sweating with the rest of us!

XOXO my habibis,

Suzy
