Family Yearbooks

We’re taking more photos with more ease than ever before, but are we actually enjoying them more?

turn your camera roll into a family heirloom

Enjoy your photos beyond the screen.

How many photos do you have on your phone camera roll right now? Smart phones have made it easier than ever to document our lives. When I ask other moms why they take pictures, most of them say “to remember.” And while we have thousands of photos saved on our devices or stored in the cloud, many of us only ever enjoy them on tiny screens while scrolling our phones. But there is a better way, friend.

Hold them in your heart & hands.

There is something different about a tangible album of photographs we can hold in our hands. To sit on the couch with your kids & flip through the pages together. To reminisce on sweet memories with a cup of coffee or wine in hand - laughing or crying or maybe doing a little of both. Photos cultivate a spirit of thankfulness as we look back on where we’ve been, where we are now, & where we’re going together.

Pass them on to your children.

Aside from all the intangible things you pass down to your children, there are few more valuable or sentimental gifts you can give to your kids than printed photos. What a privilege that you can capture both the big life events & the magical mundane with the phone in your pocket - but I don’t want your photos to stay digitally trapped. I want to help you create art out of your memories, a visual representation of what matters most to you.

But it’s hard to stop & make the time, isn’t it?

That’s where I come in, darling.

If you’re anything like me, creating an album with your family photos sounds great in theory… but it feels impossible to find the time to sit down & do it, let alone to muster up the mental energy of deciding which photos to use & how to lay them out.

I’d love to take this off of your busy plate.

Family Yearbook Album Design

the process

Step 1 : Share your favorite photos with me in chronological order.

You can use a shared album on your phone, Dropbox, Google Drive, or whatever is most convenient.

Step 2 : Leave any comments you think necessary.

Make a special note about your daughter’s birthday or your family trip to the beach.

Step 3 : Customize.

Choose your fabric color & album title. Or leave it up to me!

the value

The greatest value of this whole process is the time & mental energy it will save you.

With three kids of my own, I know how hard it can be to find uninterrupted time to sit down & create albums like these. Choosing which photos to use & how to lay them out without getting overwhelmed is half the battle, too.

I can bring an unbiased & experienced approach to your album design.

Narrowing down which photos to use is often one of the hardest parts. You will naturally be emotionally attached to all of your photos, but I can help with my more objective perspective & eye for design.
