Fall Baby Pregnancy Announcement Photos at Selah Ridge Treesort

Sharing your pregnancy is such a special & exciting experience

I get inquiries from couples often asking if I could take just a few photos for their pregnancy announcement to share on social media or with family, and while I don’t offer super short sessions, I am always happy to work in pregnancy announcement photos with other types of sessions. This is such a sweet time to capture parents-to-be in their season of expecting!

Make the most of it

Lauren and Brandon’s couples session is the perfect example of combining pregnancy announcement photos with photos documenting this special time in their life as a couple. Lauren was not super far along in her pregnancy, so we were able to grab some photos of her and Brandon that look like a regular couples’ shoot, but I love that they’ll always be able to look back on those photos and think “Our little one is there with us!” Not only did these photos turn out great, but Lauren and Brandon were able to make a romantic weekend out of their trip, using this incredible treehouse Airbnb for their photos and a beautiful little getaway.

Which leads me to a few tips (keep scrolling) for getting the most out of baby announcement photos

4 tips for getting the most out of your baby announcement photos

  1. Bring cute props. Lauren and Brandon’s “Baby” balloons were the perfect touch to make these photos feel super celebratory! Look for balloons like they did (find some options here and here and here), or look for a cute felt letter board to write out your message. Want to bring your fur babies as your prop? Do it! Just make sure they’re dressed for the part so they can be in on your big surprise (this option is cute too)!

  2. Don’t forget the sonogram! Those first few images of your baby are SO special, and are a must for your photoshoot! You can bring the actual sonogram, get them printed in a larger size, or find a cute frame to hold them in. We love to see your little peanut growing!

  3. Rock the baby bump. No matter how far along you are, it’s time to start rockin’ the bump! Lauren was just starting to show, but she picked the perfect grey dress (scroll down to see) that accentuated her bump and made her look gorgeous. Find an outfit you feel beautiful in, and coordinate everyone else’s outfit around that (aka my number one tip in my What to Wear Guide!)

  4. Make sure to capture your relationship, too. Whether this is your first baby, or your family is growing even more, it’s important to capture this special season of life with your spouse (and other children if you have them). Lauren and Brandon made plenty of space in their shoot to capture their playful, loving, and (in their words) fiesty relationship! These types of photos can be used far beyond the pregnancy announcement and make perfect additions to a gallery wall. Even beyond great photos, it’s just important for you to really stop and soak in this special time in your lives and relationship. Capturing these moments is what I live for!

And there you have it, people! If you’re expecting a little one this coming year, let’s chat about capturing this incredible gift of a moment together.

I hope these pregnancy announcement photos of Lauren and Brandon make you smile like they did for me! Enjoy!

Suzy
