Beautiful chaos
This at home family photo session for the Maute family captured the joy and excitement of welcoming home their newborn baby boy, Hayes. Chelsea is definitely outnumbered by all the boys in her life, but I don’t think that mama would have it any other way! Raising young children can often feel chaotic & wild, but it is oh so beautiful. Chelsea wanted to capture a little bit of it all as they enter in this new season as a family.
Keeping it candid
Shooting a family session at home is a great way to keep the photos feeling natural, in a space where the whole family feels comfortable. With everyone in a familiar environment, it's easy to capture those honest, candid moments between family members, and the genuine excitement portrayed by the Maute family as they love on their new son and baby brother. Plus, this mama is now a mom of three… boys! Photos of real moments between family members are a great way to document the reality of this season: the excitement and emotion and beautiful chaos!
A family affair
What I love about this session is, although the focus is the sweetness of new baby Hayes, this season of life is captured for the rest of the family, too. Yes, every mama wants to (and should!) document their baby when they are born and as they grow, but don’t forget about you! The Maute family can look back on these photos and remember the joy in this season of life together as a family unit. I think that’s pretty special!
