Max Patch in the Fall

Christine and Kyle had their hearts set on a Max Patch engagement session, and after “Googling Max Patch Photographer”- they found me & and I was thrilled they asked me to do it. Max Patch is beautiful all year around, but the leaves and October sky played the perfect dramatic backdrop for this lovely couple’s session.

These two met while they were each settling into their new city. Kyle had just moved from LA and Christy was in grad school at Duke. They quickly matched on a dating app, the rest is history! I loved getting to capture the sweet & easy going nature between the two of them. They are both passionate about their faith and excited to build their life together. Their session was full of laughter and romance. I am always honored to help couples celebrate their engagement season by getting photos of them that they will cherish for years to come. The joy is tangible between these two. I hope they look back at these images down the road and are reminded of the unique beauty of their story. Christine referred to Kyle as a “breath of fresh air during a stressful time in her life” and I’d say that their engagement photo shoot was also a breath of fresh air in the midst of our crazy world right now for me & hopefully for you too. Enjoy these photos!

Best of both worlds

They chose two different outfits for their session. For their first look, they went more formal. Christine chose a traditional Indian saree and Kyle work a navy suit. The colors were so beautiful and vibrant! The next look they went with was more casual and laid back. Choosing two different wardrobes allowed them to get a mix of every day photos & more formal ones as well. The warm and rich colored clothing added so much depth to the photos, while loads of natural light and clear skies really gave them a spacious feel. The wind created some magical movement as well!
